This morning Charlie and I woke up SUPER early to go to Ford Island to do the Tripler Fisher House 8k Hero & Remembrance Run. It was such a special event to honor our fallen soldiers! Lining the race were the solders boot, an image of them, and a flag. It was such an amazing event, but also very tragic to see how many men and women we have lost. Two days before the race I was able to help set up. While putting the boots out I was able to see the soldiers close up. It was so sad that most them were so young. A good majority had their high school picture as their image. I ask that everyone prays for all of these lost heroes, for we are all so blessed they gave up their lives protecting ours. Directly after the race volunteers stayed to pick them all up and put them on the corner of Enterprise and O'Kane near the Aviation museum were they will stay until Sep 12. On Sep 11th they will have a prayer ceremony to honors the men and women. If you are near Ford Island please stop and take the time to visit the soldiers.
